Album Cover
For this free choice design I chose to create an album cover for a fictional singer/songwriter named Jack Henesey. The music genre is modern folk with a tribute to the folk music of the 60's and 70's. Overall I wanted the album to have a feeling of being from that era. To create this effect I turned down the saturation and increased the contrast. I adjusted the color levels to bring up the reds and yellows in the image. I used a dark decorative font for the title with a white background for more contrast. I placed the text in a way to create some flow and rhythm to the design as well as proximity for the spacing. I adjusted the sizes of the images and placed them using the rule of thirds by placing the ridge line of the trees and eyes and profile of the face.
